My life can be summed up into a couple easy words: wife; mother; business owner; philanthropy. My husband and I have been together for 17 years. When we were engaged, we set out to find a city perfect to marry and raise children. One drive through Lakeway and I fell instantly in love. Hailing from a tiny farming town, I loved the charm of Lakeway and that small town feel. We have been proud Lakeway residents since 2007. We now have two young children in LTISD Schools, attend Lake Hills Church and enjoy everything that Lakeway has to offer. We can't imagine a better place to raise our family. I work in Competitive Intelligence which is a very strategic, analytical and innovative field and it drives me to look at issues and concepts differently. I interview key stakeholders, work with people from all sides of an argument and after analysis, create data-driven solutions that are communicated in an effective way to build consensus among key stakeholders who do not always agree which is an ideal skill set for council. During a business trip, a chance encounter gave my small-business owner husband the idea to start a non-profit to provide military veterans and their spouses with online niche business training. I am now a proud Program Liaison and often attend business conferences where I lead veterans through our program.
Giving back was instilled in me at a young age. I grew up in a farming family where hard work was the norm and giving back to our community was second nature. I hold those values closely and will fight for each and every Lakeway resident if re-elected as your Lakeway City Council Member.
With Sincerity,
Kelly Brynteson
I am a Program Liaison for TrainOurTroops, a military veteran non-profit. TrainOurTroops provides U.S. veterans, and their spouses, with advanced online training and certification in business solutions to give them a competitive advantage in the civilian marketplace to ignite their careers. The 501(c)3 was founded by my husband which has become our passion project. We are so thankful for our freedoms and are honored to give back to those who fought for us.
Giving back is my passion. I am an active volunteer for several non-profit organizations throughout the greater Austin area as well as right here in Lakeway. Collectively, I have helped raise over $150,000 through the donation of my art. A few of the non-profits I have partnered with are Mack, Jack & McConaughey; Center for Child Protection; Cheyanna's Champions 4 Children (CC4C); Susan G Komen; The Rise School of Austin; 12:31; The BLESS Foundation; Ashley's Angels; and proudly for my children's school,
Lakeway Elementary PTO and LTEF Gala.
